US Navy Helicopter Crashes Into Sea Near San Diego; Rescue Ops on

Washington: A US military helicopter crashed into the sea near San Diego while conducting routine flight operations, the US Navy said in a statement. Search and rescue operations are underway for the crew members. “An MH-60S helicopter embarked aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) crashed into the sea while conducting routine flight operations approximately 60 nautical miles off the coast of San Diego at 4:30 p.m. PST, Aug. 31,” the Pacific Fleet said on Twitter. “Search and rescue operations are ongoing with multiple Coast Guard and Navy air and surface assets,” the Pacific Fleet added. Currently, one crew member has been rescued and while for the other crew members, the search efforts continue with multiple Coast Guard and Navy air and surface assets. New Delhi: A video and screenshots of a man ‘hanging’ from a helicopter as the Taliban parades it in the skies of Afghanistan’s Kandahar is going massively viral on social media. The 12-second video clip that has stormed the internet and being claimed that it shows the ‘Taliban flying a US Black Hawk helicopter with a body hanging from it’ has reportedly been misleadingly captioned. The viral video clip shows a chopper hovering over buildings in the city and then the video zooms in to show what appears to be a person hanging from the helicopter by a rope. The video was shared hours after the last US military pulled out of Afghanistan, leaving behind up to 200 Americans and several hundreds of desperate Afghans. Delhi Reports 97 Cases Of Dengue; 45 Malaria This Year; 27 Cases Reported Last Week

New Delhi: The national capital has reported nearly 27 fresh cases of vector-borne diseases in last one week, according to the reports. A total of 97 cases of dengue have been recorded this year which includes 45 malaria and 26 chikungunya cases. As per the latest report compiled by the various civic bodies, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation area has witnessed the highest spread of vector-borne diseases. The report suggests 15 dengue, nine malaria, and three chikungunya cases in the last week. Of the total 97 dengue patients, 33 have been reported from the South Delhi Municipal Corporation areas, of which 10 patients have been reported in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation area while 12 are in the East Delhi Municipal Corporation area. Five dengue infected patients have been found in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area while one patient is in Delhi Cantt. The spread of dengue could not be confirmed in 36 patients as yet. West Bengal: Stampede at Vaccination Centre at Jalpaiguri Leaves 25 People Injured

Kolkata : A stampede-like situation arose at an inoculation centre in Jalpaiguri district leaving 20 people injured. The incident occurred at a school that was acting as a vaccination centre in the Dhupguri block of Jalpaiguri in North Bengal. According to the eyewitnesses, around 2,000 people had gathered near the centre. Hardly any police were deployed in that area.  As soon as the police arrived, opened the gates at 10 am, the crowd rushed in running and pushing each other. Several women with children and elderly people fell to the ground in the chaos. A police official was injured while trying to help the people. New Delhi: India on Tuesday administered over 1.9 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine, the highest single-day vaccinations so far. New Delhi : Total of nine Supreme Court judges, including three woman judges, were sworn in on Tuesday by Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana. It is for the first time in the history of the apex court that nine judges took an oath of office at one go and the swearing-in ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Supreme Court’s additional building complex. CJI Ramana began administering the oath of office to the new judges of the top court, by administering oath of office to Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka at first. With the swearing-in of the nine new judges, the strength of the Supreme Court would rise to 33, including the CJI, out of the sanctioned strength of 34.
