Noida Couple Dead, 6-Year-Old Daughter Injured After Truck Topples Onto Car in Delhi’s RK Puram

New Delhi: A Noida couple were killed while their six-year-old daughter suffered severe injuries after a truck hit a divider and overturned on their car near the Hyatt Regency hotel in Delhi’s RK Puram . The accident occurred around midnight on Wednesday. The couple, Manish Sharma (37) and Shipra Joshi (32), were driving to their home in Noida, along with their daughter, when a truck carrying gravel overturned. The couple, who died a day after their marriage anniversary, were returning home from Sharma’s brother house in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi. Joshi was a homemaker, and Sharma worked as a legal consultant with a private firm. A hydraulic crane was deployed at the spot to help with rescue efforts, after personnel from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) and police failed to free the couple and the child from the car, which was practically flattened. Mexico: A cargo truck jammed with people who appeared to be Central American migrants rolled over and crashed into a pedestrian bridge over a highway in southern Mexico on Thursday, killing at least 53 people and injuring dozens more, authorities reported. The federal Attorney General’s Office said the preliminary estimate lists 53 dead, with three of the injured in critical condition. Chennai: A YouTuber named Maridhas has been arrested by the Tamil Nadu police from his residence in Madurai for his controversial tweet on the IAF chopper crash near Coonoor on Wednesday, in which India’s first Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other armed forces personnel were killed. In the tweet, which he later deleted, Maridhas asked whether Tamil Nadu was turning into Kashmir under DMK rule. Alwar: As many as nine teachers and the principal of a government school were booked for allegedly gang-raping and molesting four students in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. Delhi Pollution: Govt Extends Bans on Truck Entry Till Further Orders

New Delhi: With an aim to bring the pollution level under control in the national capital, Delhi government on Tuesday announced that the ban on entry of trucks will continue till further orders. However, the CNG and e-trucks and those carrying essential commodities will be allowed to enter Delhi. To recall, the Delhi government had earlier extended the ban till December 7. “According to the directions of the Commission of Air Quality Management, the ban (on truck entry) will continue till further orders,” an official clarified. Meanwhile, the national capital’s air quality improved considerably on Tuesday with favourable wind speed aiding dispersion of pollutants. On Monday, the city’s 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) read 255, an improvement form from 322 on Monday. New Delhi: After reports claimed that the Centre has accepted almost all demands of the protesting farmers, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait on Tuesday said the Centre proposed that it will agree to demands and that the farmers should end the protest. However, he added that the proposal from the Centre is not clear and the farmers have some apprehensions which will be discussed tomorrow at 2 PM. New Delhi: The Sputnik Light single shot Covid-19 vaccine is likely to get authorized in India soon as talks on the production of anti-COVID vaccine are nearing completion, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. “The talks on Sputnik Light are nearing completion,” Lavrov said following the talks with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar in New Delhi today, reported Russian media TASS.
