Bihar Panchayat Election Result 2021 Live: The counting of votes for the ninth phase of the Bihar Panchayat Elections 2021 is underway. The ninth phase of panchayat elections was held peacefully on November 29 in 53 blocks spread over 35 districts across the state. The results today will decide the fate of over 97,878 candidates. Multi-layer security arrangements have been made inside and outside the centre to avoid any untoward incident.  For the unversed, Panchayat polls in Bihar are being conducted in 11 phases. First phase: September 24 – 12 blocks of 10 districts; Second phase: September 29 – 48 blocks of 34 districts; Third phase: October 8 – 50 blocks of 35 districts; Fourth phase: October 20 – 53 blocks of 36 districts; Fifth phase: October 24 – 38 districts in 58 blocks; Sixth phase: November 3 – 57 blocks of 37 districts; Seventh phase: November 15 – 63 blocks of 37 districts; Eighth Phase: November 24 – 55 blocks of 36 districts; Ninth phase: November 29 – 53 blocks of 35 districts; 10th phase: December 8 – 54 blocks of 34 districts; 11th phase: December 12 – 38 blocks of 20 districts.

  • The results today will decide the fate of over 97,878 candidates for the posts of Zilla Parishad Member, Mukhiya, Panchayat Samiti Member, Ward Member, Sarpanch and Panch.
  • For the counting of votes, Staqu, AI implementation enabler, has joined hands with the Bihar State Election Commission to automate the vote-counting. Staqu has deployed JARVIS, Staqu’s proprietary Video Analytics system powered by advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, to count votes directly from the camera by monitoring the EVM (Electronic Voting Machines) screens at the counting centre.
  • Once the panchayat polls are concluded, the recruitment of 1.25 lakh teachers for classes 1 to 12 in Bihar will be initiated.

India Successfully Tests ‘Akash Prime’ Missile, Destroys Aerial Target | Watch

New Delhi: A new version of the Akash missile was successfully flight-tested on Monday from the integrated test range at Chandipur in Odisha, officials said. The missile — ‘Akash Prime’ — intercepted and destroyed an unmanned aerial target mimicking an enemy aircraft in its maiden flight test, they said. The flight testing took place at around 4:30 pm, the officials said. “In comparison to the existing Akash system, Akash Prime is equipped with an indigenous active RF seeker for improved accuracy. MP: Woman Forced To Undergo ‘Purification’ For Marrying Dalit Man

Betul: A 24-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district was allegedly forced to undergo a “purification” ritual by her father and other relatives wherein she was forced to take bath in the Narmada river, her hair trimmed and her clothes discarded for marrying a Dalit man, police said on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the woman’s father and three of his relatives on Saturday after the woman lodged a complaint, said Betul Kotwali police station in-charge Ratnakar Hingve. On Friday, the woman submitted a complaint to Superintendent of Police (SP) Simala Prasad. The complainant alleged that she had married a Dalit man in March 2020.
